What is the spot price?
The gold spot price is the current market value of pure gold (24 karats) at this exact moment, quoted in dollars per troy ounce. This price changes constantly Monday through Friday based on global supply and demand. KaratCash uses this price as the basis for calculating what we pay you.
What are karats?
Karats indicate the percentage of pure gold in a piece of jewelry. A 24-karat piece is nearly pure gold; a 10-karat piece contains less gold and more filler metals.
